Karen Lam, PhD


Karen is a biotechnology innovator with over 15 years of experience in therapeutics and diagnostics development and commercialization. She has extensive hands-on and managerial experience in the development of new health technologies from scientific, business, regulatory, and operations perspectives, having led many of such efforts in human health for the past 8 years. Karen obtained her PhD in Medical Genetics from the University of British Columbia (UBC; Vancouver, Canada). She is also Chief Business Officer of the non-profit research organization Centre of Excellence for the Prevention of Organ Failure (PROOF Centre) and Adjunct Professor in the UBC Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
